Mongolian air border is open for international travelers arriving in Mongolia 14 days after being fully vaccinated or open for visitors showing proofs of full recovery from earlier coronavirus infection within 4 months’ arrival to Mongolia.
Although foreign travelers from or transiting the following 11 countries where the Omicron variant of COVID-19 spread are not permitted to enter Mongolia.

1〉 International travelers must present a negative PCR test result performed within 72 hours of scheduled arrival in Mongolia.
2〉 Potential requirement to get retested at the Mongolian border
3〉 Starting on 25 December 2021, all visitors are directed to 3-day mandatory quarantine at designated hotels at their own cost due to the new Omicron variant.
4〉 The third affirmative test will be taken on the 2nd day of the hotel quarantine and get the test results on the 3rd day of quarantine.
5〉 Visitors tested negative should self-quarantine themselves for 5 days.
• 2.200.000 people out of Mongolian 3.3 million population have been fully vaccinated by Pfizer, Gamaleya (Sputnik V), AstraZeneca, Moderna, and Senopharma (as of 8 January 2022)
• 934.120 people get booster doze or the 3rd doze of vaccination (as of 8 January 2022)
There is no internal restriction for public services, entertainment, and public transports. However, the frequency of domestic flights and trains is fewer compared to the ordinary time before the Covid-19 outbreak.
Some local administrative territories require a rapid Covid-19 test upon arrival.
